One week in and things are going well for my December Daily Challenge. I am actually up-to-date (you can see the actual pages here)! It’s been really fun to dig through my supplies, but also to see the colour scheme I am clearly drawn to: brown, red, and cream with multiple shades of green. In preparation for this project, I created a loose list of possible topics based on events I knew I was already committed to and have been filing in the holes with more day-to-day activities. I’m not sure how I am going to handle things once we are on the road, but for now, this is my favourite challenge yet!

December Daily: getting ready
Yes, Halloween has been over for about 10 minutes. Bear with me.
This has been the year of month-long challenges. Self-Stiched September, a hot-yoga challenge (7 days left!) and now, I’m gearing up for December Daily. This is a scrapbooking challenge, which is something I haven’t done in a long time (you can see some of my pages here). The part I like about this challenge is that you do as much before December as possible, so that during the busy times all you need to do is take a daily photo. I’m using this challenge as a means to use up whatever craft supplies I have lying around. I assembled 31 pieces of Christmas-appropriate paper and now have the rest of the month to squirrel away magazine clippings, pins, and various other ephemera to complete it with.
Okay December. I can wait. For now.
The littlest tree
There is an annual real/fake tree debate in our house, which is why we have yet to buy a full-size tree of either kind. We always end up travelling, so this little guy works for now. Although, I forget the dimensions over the course of the year and am always shocked when we put it up. I end up looking for the non-existent piece I’m sure we are missing. I love coming home and seeing the top of the tree just peeking out the window, like some kind of puppy eagerly awaiting our return.
